Kids Yoga Classes
Parent and toddler classes 18mth - 4 years
Kids yoga classes are usually repetitive as this the best way for children to learn. The focal point of the class is on the toddler in a safe environment. The class consists of animal asana (poses), singing to nursery rhymes and familiar songs, using our imagination and loads of playing!
Parent participation required. This class is 30 mins.

Preschoolers Yoga 3 - 6 years
These classes are based on doing fun kids yoga to themes or stories, which may include heroes, adventures or fairies etc.The kids are energised and run off steam, then the energy level is brought down by ending the class with guided relaxation and meditation that is age appropriate. Classes are focused on the preschooler.
These classes are 45mins long, actual teaching time is 30 mins.

Leaps & Bounds Move and Groove for 2 to 5 years
An energetic and exciting movement program that teaches children to dance and express themselves physically and creatively while having fun, developing fitness and flexibility. Parent participation required.
Classes run in school terms only.
After School Kids Yoga Classes
Leaps & Bounds Kids Yoga 5-10 years
In this 45min of fun the classes are based on kids yoga using positive themes, stories and imagination. The kids energy is upped and hopefully used up before the energy is brought down by ending the class with guided relaxation and meditation that is age appropriate.

Leaps & Bounds Tweens Yoga 10-14 years
This hour of yoga for early/pre teens helps them expend energy and energise them in a positive way. It focuses on posture, strengthening the core, breath awareness all with a positive theme or affirmation. Their energy is brought down by ending the class with guided relaxation and meditation that is age appropriate.

Leaps & Bounds Kids Fitness Fun
This 45 minute session is designed to get kids up, out and moving! Includes obstacle courses, ball sports, high energy games, kids yoga and relaxation. Originally for primary school children we now have 3 instructors to split the kids up into school age and under school age. The 3rd instructor is there for the mums. The girls will whip your butt into shape with an invigorating BoxFit session!

Aqua Yoga
This hour class in the beautiful lagoon at Palm Beach Parklands is extremely gentle. It's great for those needing a gentle class such as seniors, those with chronic diseases and in need of rehab like cancer, fibromyalgia or pregnant women. Combines the soothing properties of water with traditional yoga benefits.

Intro To Yoga -Twilight Yoga In The Park (Oct-March)
Drop the kids off at school, leave the stress at home...This is an hour of yoga that is purely for you! An easy beginner for adults class that focuses on breathing in tune to your movement for stress relief & calming. This class will also give you what you need for stretching & strength building. The class ends with relaxation and meditation for emptying your busy mind. What a blissful way to start or end the day...

PreNatal Yoga -Yoga for PregnancyIn this 60 min class mums-to-be will experience a gentle yoga practice in a safe and nuturing environment. Bond with your unborn baby through yoga and prepare yourselves for a positive birth experience. Learn about creating balance and energy from pregnancy to motherhood.

PostNatal Yoga - Mums and Bubs Yoga
In this 60 min class new mums will experience a gentle yoga practice in a safe and nuturing environment where their bubs are part of the class. Including exercises and understanding for the pelvic floor; Baby yoga and massage; Yoga nidra (deep relaxation) and meditation for stress release and deep connection, you'll both be sure to leave the class feeling a little calmer!
Classes suitable for all levels from easy beginner upwards.

Yoga For SeniorsThese classes last 75 mins and are focused on gentle movement and stretching in tune with the breath. In general older people have less mobilty in their joints and muscles, so this class is a great place to start increasing mobility, flexibility, suppleness and strength, in a safe and supported environment. Classes are suitable for all levels from easy beginner upwards.

General Class Structure
Classes for all ages follow this basic structure and include the following:
Tune In -Prepare your mind and body for beginning your yoga practice
Warm Up -stretch and warm up joints and muscles, focusing on the breath
Pranayama -Breathing practices to focus on specific needs eg: relaxing; awareness and concentration; cooling & calming; or heating & energising practices
Asana Sequence -Focuses on a combination of poses in various positions including standing, balancing, bends, twists, seated, lying or inverted poses. Includes games, obsticle courses or songs in childrens classes. Tailored to the specific needs of each class.
Relaxation -A guided practice to help the body and mind achieve deep relaxation with calming and soothing music. Relaxation time is from 1-2 min upwards depending on the age of class participants.
Meditation - helps to set an intention, to develop memory, clears negative thoughts and energy and ends the practice.
I am able to teach children from birth through to teens and adults of all ages! I can also teach privately with you and/or child in your own home or in an outdoor yoga class anywhere on the Gold Coast and surrounds.
